Is it important to offer enrichment toys to your dog?

Yes, and not just to keep him busy! Enrichment toys are a great way to help your dog focus, calm down, or let off steam intelligently.

Indoors, puzzle toys offer a real advantage when you're short on time or the sun is too strong for long walks. It's also a great way to stimulate his sense of smell, his thinking, or his physical abilities... without necessarily running for miles.

At Muzon, you'll also find outdoor toys to help him expend energy, such as frisbees or balls.

How to choose an enrichment toy suitable for your dog?

The right puzzle toy is one that respects your dog's morphology, energy, and preferences. Here are some criteria to help you make the right choice:

- Difficulty level: For a puppy or a beginner dog, a simple, easy-to-handle toy is preferred. This could be a shallow snuffle toy or an airy snuffle mat to prevent frustration. But you can also gently test more complex games, carefully observing their reactions to avoid frustration and thus destruction.

- Dog size (and jaw): This is crucial. A ball that is too small for a powerful dog can become dangerous. Don't hesitate to ask us for advice, especially if you are unsure between two sizes.

- Morphology and breed: Some dogs need toys adapted to their physique. A bulldog, for example, will have more difficulty playing on surfaces that are too flat.
